Mahmoud Fadl: The Nubian Master Drummer
Introduction
Renowned Nubian master drummer Mahmoud Fadl, born in 1955, grew up in Assuan and Cairo, Egypt. His musical roots trace back to the Griot traditions of the Battikol people. Fadl's journey began at local Nubian and Arabic weddings, where he also performed as a limbo dancer. His talent soon gained recognition, leading to collaborations with notable artists like Ahmed Adawia and Nubian legend Ali Hassan Kuban.
