More than 3 million children aged 11 to 13 have expressed their visions of world peace through the Lions International Peace Poster Contest. This annual event provides a unique platform for young minds to illustrate their hopes for a harmonious world.

"Achieving peace requires a deep desire to understand, respect, and honor others," reflects 13-year-old Kyler B. Watson from Stuttgart, Arkansas, a merit award winner from the 2005-2006 contest.
The grand prize was awarded to Cleverson da Silva Rosa, a 13-year-old from Parana, Brazil. Accompanied by two family members and the sponsoring Lions club president, he attended the Lions Day with the United Nations in New York. This event allows Lions Club members to engage with U.N. ambassadors, and this year, more than 700 Lions participated.
A Global Impact
Past winners have come from across the globe, including regions where peace remains a distant dream. "The Peace Poster Contest offers a unique outlet for future leaders to express their visions of peace," said Lions Clubs International President Ashok Mehta.
Encouraging Dialogue and Artistry
Lions clubs organize the contest in schools and youth programs, fostering discussions about world peace while encouraging artistic expression. Now in its 18th year, the contest spans over 75 countries.
"It’s vital for young people to have an opportunity to reflect on world peace," said 13-year-old Wade Angeli from Fairfax, Virginia, a merit award recipient.
