From the moment I first picked up a guitar, my life was never the same. That night, I was so taken that I slept with it?"an embarrassing yet authentic confession. The feel of the instrument, its shape, everything about it spoke to me. It was love at first strum.
However, when I first plugged it in and let loose those initial notes, the sound was dreadful. It may have been the worst noise I'd ever experienced. Yet, that was the beginning of my musical journey, over two decades ago, as I discovered my true passion: the guitar.
Today, I’m happily married with three kids, a stable job, and a house filled with guitars. My wife’s only jealousy stems from them. When I humorously suggested having either girlfriends or guitars, she wisely opted for the guitars. That choice, perhaps, is the key to our happy marriage.
And those guitars! Each one is unique?"no two are alike, even if they're the same model from the same year, with sequential serial numbers. They each possess their own personality, feel, and mood. My collection includes Fenders, Gibsons, Washburns, Parkers, solid bodies, hollow bodies, and semi-hollow body guitars.
Every week, I visit friends or local stores to play as many guitars as possible. It's truly an obsession, occupying my thoughts and dreams every hour of the day.
