Todd, visiting from out of town and seeking a bit of comfort, knew he was in trouble when he found himself captivated by a topless dancer named Lila. With a twinkle in her eye, she slid his next twenty into her silver garter and asked, "Would you like to go to the champagne room? It's more private in there."
Although Todd had been lured into such expensive intimacy at a New York club before, he couldn't resist her. "Sure," he replied, following her to The Champagne Room.
Inside, dim lighting surrounded tables where dancers entertained their eager patrons. Lila guided Todd to a secluded corner table, offering more privacy. He followed, a happy puppy with the woman who met his every need.
Settling at the table, Lila took a seat beside him, blending work with the illusion of intimacy. Soon, a waitress appeared, clad in a scant outfit, ready to rise to the ranks of topless entertainment.

Emboldened by his perceived bargain, Todd handed over ten dollars as the waitress returned with the champagne. With a toast, they clinked glasses, sharing a moment of voluntary enchantment.
"You’re very pretty," Todd said, catching his breath after lightly stroking her hair.
"I have to charge for that," Lila informed him gently.
"For caressing your hair?"
"Yes," she smiled, "It's only ten dollars."
His wallet growing lighter, Todd paid, realizing the cost of each touch. After noticing his wallet thinning rapidly, he left it on the table, confident no one would take it.
"What else do you offer?" he asked.
"Intelligent conversation, for one," Lila replied.
Intrigued, he chose Romeo and Juliet for discussion. Lila recited a prepared line, earning herself another ten-dollar charge. Soon, he was running low on cash.
"Would you like to buy some funny money?" Lila suggested.
Resolving to indulge, he purchased $300 of funny money, discreetly charged to his credit card held by the club.
"What else do you have?" he inquired, feeling the tug of extravagance.
"Games," she offered. "Scrabble, Monopoly, but no video games?"they’re too distracting."
"What about kissing games?" Todd asked, emboldened.
"Where? My hand, cheek, or lips?" she teased.
"Lips," he chose, wanting it all.
For thirty seconds of a passionate kiss, with tongue, he shelled out $30, only to be stopped when his time was up.
"Do you want me to stop?" he asked, breathless.
"No, but we have rules," Lila explained.
Resolving to get the most from his remaining funds, Todd delved deeper into fantasy, lost in her extravagant embrace.
